I suppose I should think about visiting the tax man. I think I finally have everything together, though I think there is a receipt for something that I'm not sure I can lay my hands on. I doubt any donations I made will put us over the standard deduction, but you never know.

One time hubby brought a couple of our kids down to work for something and our middle son was absolutely amazed at how fast I could type. I tell everyone I come by it naturally because my mother was a secretary for 35 years. Go Mom!

When my niece was very young and just learning her letters, she would sing "The Alphabet Song" like this:
"A, B, C, D, E, F, G
yawsh, yawsh, yawsh, yawsh ..."
We never quite got what she thought singing "yawsh, yawsh" over and over was supposed to do, but since she didn't know the rest, she had to have something to substitute, I guess. So ever since, hubby and I will sometimes serenade each other with the "yawsh yawsh" version of the "Alphabet Song." It's much cuter than the original. That kid gave us a lot of our sayings, but she's almost 19 now, so I'm not sure how much she'd appreciate hearing about them. Maybe in a few years.

Life's not a song,
Life isn't bliss
Life is just this:
It's living
